Acorns are pleased to announce that Luke Emson has taken on the role of Sports Writer for the brand new website!

"About me...

I am 20 years old studying Sports Journalism at the University of Brighton and I am in my final year. Along with this I am also a part of the management team at The Cutter Inn in Ely so I keep myself busy!

I play football as a goalkeeper and played to a decent standard, most notably for Norwich City Academy against Arsenal and in the FA Youth Cup at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland when I was 17. As an Under 16 I played for Cambridge United's Elite squad and Centre of Excellence. I also have had trial spells with Leicester City Academy, Ipswich Town Reserves and last year with Eastbourne Borough first team but a knee injury put me out of action for a while."

Luke will be publishing a weekly "Round Up" of games played over the previous weekend bringing us the highlights in an easy to read layout, for visitors to follow how the teams are getting on across the various leagues they are in across the season!

As well as studying Sports Journalism, Luke is an avid Football Fan and has experience of playing at a very good standard.

We look forward to seeing the upcoming reports and want to thank Luke for sparing his time to this project and adding something extra to this great Football Club !
